Arrest of William Genter In Federal Mail Fraud Case
William A. Genter 33 of Amelia was arraigned on a charge of using the mails to defraud. The former Batavia township official tore up a traffic ticket in the mayor’s presence, later sending a business reply card from Stanford Wood Products Co. with the mayor’s return address. He was released on a $500 bond and a February 17 hearing was set.

Ohio banks pay taxes owed by customers and shareholders rather than themselves the Ohio Bankers Association states. In Clermont County last year deposits taxed 49812 and shareholders 6523 with intangible tax on deposits and capital stock. banks absorb these taxes.
