PCA Scholar Awards Boost for OSU Students
Howard Watans of the Ohio Federation of Production Credit Associations announced new scholar ship awards for Ohio State University aimed at encouraging qualified juniors in the College of Agriculture to pursue agricultural economics or rural sociology. Two $400 scholarships will be given in 1964 65, with two more $500 awards for seniors the following year, and the program may continue indefinitely with applications due March 15, 1964.

Cancer Society reports statewide dressings distribution
ACS report by Russell J Speidel of the Clermont County Unit shows over 394000 free dressings given to 1116 cancer victims during September and October statewide. More than 28300 volunteers aided education and patient services with 1050 dressings in Clermont County to two patients.

U S 52 Relocation Planned in Clermont County Ohio
The Ohio Department of Highways announced a 3.3 mile relocation of US 52 in Clermont County to a new four lane alignment from Beckford Station to east of New Richmond. Construction to begin before June 30 with an estimated cost of 2 806 000 dollars. The bridge over Twelve Mile Creek will be built on the new location while the existing bridge remains as a service road. Local streets including Vine Light Quarry Main Union George Plenty Sophia and Congress in New Richmond will be closed with a service road planned along the west side.

In 1963 thirteen institutions reported assets over 103 million, while ten institutions surpassed 143 million in 1964. Rosenhoffer Seeks Clermont County Common Pleas Judge
Attorney Chris Rosenhoffer filed petitions for the Clermont County Common Pleas judge seat. A Mt. Carmel resident and West Clermont Board of Education member, he was a early county court judge candidate who lost in 1962 to M. Dale Osborne. He will run on the non partisan ticket against Harold Nichols, a Democrat and former state senator. The winner becomes Clermont County’s second common pleas judge and will take office in January 1965, following creation of the position in 1962.

Clermont County Judge Louis J. Schwartz 44 of Neville seeks the Republican nomination for the unexpired term ending Dec 21, 1966.
