A deadly wreck on the C. G. & P. road near Fair Oak occurred Monday morning when an east bound passenger car from Cincinnati at 6 50 collided with a west bound freight engine. Jacob Burkley of Franklin township near Felicity died after slipping on ice while clearing snow from a porch on January 23. The 63 year old, born 638 years ago, acted as farm manager for his two brothers and sister. Funeral held January 26 with many similar slips reported in the area.
