Milford Sees Two Sewage System Contracts Awarded
The Milford council awarded two phases of the sewage project. H and S Hosea Co will build the disposal and pumping plant for 322 744. William Light Construction Co will handle the interceptor system for 114 195. Eight bids per contract. The federal government may cover 158 000 if construction begins Jan 1. A Sea Songood led syndicate offered 300 000 in general obligation bonds to finance the plant and interceptor.

A stalled car rolled down a hill and struck an industrial gas tank owned by Ayer Gas Service, then rammed into The Courier building next to the county ASC office. Kunter Suffers Shotgun Wounds in Hunting Accident
Felicity Dale Mays 28 of Rt. 1 Hamersville sustained shotgun wounds to hands face and legs when his brother Albert accidentally discharged a gun while hunting on a local farm. Dr Thomas A Fedor removed 12 pellets from legs and three from both face and hands per Deputy Glenn An krom.

Jury awards 350 dollars to man against furnace company
Carl Mattes of Amelia sued Earl Sims and Wilford L Shepherd of Shepherd Heating and Plumbing Co. for 7428 dollars claiming a radiant heating furnace installed in his home was inadequate. A Warren County Common Pleas Court jury awarded him 350 dollars last week. Judge Young presided.

Trucker Narrowly Misses Death as Steel Casing Falls
Goshen resident Charles Greene a 47 year old trucker for W H Simmons and Co escaped serious injury when a three ton steel casing being lifted by crane broke free striking him and rolling off a flatbed. He was taken to St Mary Hospital for X rays and received only minor bruises.

Three Countians In Honor Guard For Confederate Vet
Three Clermont County residents joined Houston funeral attendance for Walter Williams the 117 year old Civil War survivor. The group of about 40 shooting club members known as the 2nd Kentucky Cavalry or Morgan's Raiders served as the guard of honor heading the hearse wearing Confederate uniforms.
