Milford Savings Firm Opens Modern Building
Milford Home Savings Association opened its new Milford building at 125 Main Street. The facility features acoustically treated ceilings, an attorney's office for Robert M. Hair, a large director's room, and latest equipment. David P. Koogler was general contractor. The 1885-founded firm has assets of about $2,000,000. Fred Hartsock is president and Charles L. Schmidt secretary. The formal opening is set for January 9, and Rotman Pharmacy will take over the old quarters at 129 Main Street.

Rites Held For Loveland Resident Killed In Wreck
Edmund Kidder 38 of Manila Road near Cozaddale was killed when his car left the road Christmas Eve and overturned into a creek. Funeral services conducted at Tufts Funeral Home with burial in Union Cemetery. Survived by widow and three children Nancy 9 David 7 Louise 6. Kidder worked for Tool Company in Cincinnati.

Paul Eckart Hurt In Auto Accident
Paul D. Eckart, 27, suffered a possible skull fracture and possible loss of the left eye after losing control on a curve at 1409 Columbia Parkway in Amelia Ohio. His car plunged down a 40 foot embankment and crashed into Celia Kearsey’s home. Eckart was extricated and received first aid from Patrolman Thomas Kearsey who was visiting at the home.

Clermont County hires fiscal agents for Batavia water system
Clermont County Commissioners select Field Richard and Company W FE Hutton and Company and the J Austin White Company as fiscal agents for the Batavia Pierce and Union townships water project. The plan calls for 2.3 to 2.5 million dollar funding from wells along the Ohio River with test drillings to be approved by Alfred Le Feber and potentially shared with nearby communities. Commissioners Ruffner Hill and Croswell note water access will extend to residents able to connect to the new system once established.

Two Hurt in Christmas Day Car Crash on Ohio 126
On Christmas morning near Milford Ohio 126 a car left the road injuring two people. Driver Howard Withite 38 suffered a broken arm and passenger Velma Hoertker had a skull fracture. They were taken to Our Lady of Mercy Hospital by Craver ambulance.

Bethel Man Takes Over Lewis Motor Sales
Douglas Carter of Bethel will assume management of the Lewis Motor Sales new Ford agency on January 15. The Batavia firm has been owned by A. H. Lewis and sons Ralph and Paul for many years.
