County in search of computer boss
County auditor James Rymer announced an opening for a computer system manager at a county commission meeting. The plan envisions a $20,000–$30,000 salary and about $50,000 in equipment, with total costs near $500,000 to computerize county government over five or six years. Prize tree swiped by Mt. Carmel students finds no pictures
The first prize winning six-foot Christmas tree decorated by seventh and eighth graders from St. Veronica School in West Clermont was stolen from the office building at 496 Old SR 74 sometime between Sunday noon and Monday morning. Attorney Jerry McBride, Union Township trustee, reported the theft to Chief Detective Jerry Pike, noting no prior thefts of a Christmas tree. Scattered remnants marked the scene outside the Mt. Carmel business district.

Buckner To Pass County Duties Before City Manager Move
