Five people have taken out petitions to run in the May Republican and Democratic primaries for Clermont County seats. William H. Massey of Batavia, Clermont Sun GM, seeks the district 12 Ohio House seat. Lawrence Carlier of Milford, an attorney, is now Clermont state representative and a Democrat. Arthur Blake seeks reelection as county commissioner and H Earl Metzger seeks reelection as county auditor. No Brown County petitions yet. all district 12 filings must be filed in Clermont County.

Youth Crushed When Auto Falls Near Goshen
Jack York 16, son of Mr and Mrs Louis York of 6593 Shiloh Rd near Goshen, died Monday when a car he was working under slipped from its jacks and pinned him. The accident occurred about noon. his brother James found him about 3:30. Deputies Art Guard Richard Carson and Steve Hager investigated. Newtonsville Life Squad responded. Coroner Dr A A Gruber ordered the body taken to Monroe Copher Funeral Home Milford. Funeral services at 11 a m today at the funeral home with burial in Myers Cemetery Goshen. He leaves parents two sisters Pamela and Sandra and four brothers William Richard James and David.
