CIC Recommends Bond Issue For Job Producing Project
The Community Improvement Corp recommends a 1.25 million dollar bond to finance a new Midwest Indemnity Co home office in Milford Clermont County. The plan includes 7.5 acres at SR 28 and Pleasant Hill Rd for a two story 36 000 square foot building with Sears Roebuck as main tenant. The company will lease back for 15 years to retire bonds then the county will sell the site at nominal cost. An increase from 108 to about 120 employees is anticipated by end of 1972.

President's Retreat Gathers Clermont Leaders in Batavia
Clermont County leaders from politics education community groups and business met December 16 at the CG&E Auditorium Batavia for the Chamber of Commerce President s Retreat. President Charles Brandt organized the session with Bill Sullivan and the Program of Work Committee to translate ideas into short range goals. The nine topic rounds used six minute discussions with six teams and a final weight vote to identify key actions.
