State To Tax Income Welfare Tops One Billion

OKI trims Clermonts share as commissioners vote to reduce the 1971 deficit and budget. A motion to cut the OKI budget from 853000 to 700000 passes after earlier proposals for 500000 fail. Batavia Village honors clerk treasurer for a decade of service
Mrs. Florence Ashburn retired as Batavia Village Council and Board of Public Affairs clerk treasurer after 10 years of service. She received an engraved wrist watch at the December 13 meeting.
