A group proposes a U S Grant state bank on Main Street Batavia with $550000 capital including $200000 surplus and $150000 profits. Attorneys Flack Douglas and Lawrence W Carlier lead the effort with many local investors named.
Three parents face bonds of 106 each to guarantee school attendance as Judge Ralph A Hill issues orders in Clermont County truancy matters. The cases name Delbert Alsip Elenore Wakefield and Bruce Head with listed addresses. In separate civil action, Clifford Haney sues James Deaton over grain rent and corn harvest disputes with cross-claims of 1525 and 2542 dollars.

The Operation Shop Early drive gathered 3,261 Santa bags in the Cincinnati area from 1,840 communities nationwide, exceeding the local goal of 3,000. Bags include seven or more items and two thousand are special for servicewomen with cosmetics and toiletries.
