Indian medicine man Pete Whitson dies in Clermont County
Pete Whitson an Indian medicine man and former Central Avenue shopkeeper in the Afton area died the prior Thursday at about age 90. He helped a man recover from arthritis with his remedies and rode in the Bicentennial Train. Burial was at Batavia Cemetery after a funeral on Saturday. Clermont County Economic Development Director Dan Strong confirmed the death and noted the county’s loss.
