Down From His Glory composed by John W. Peterson will be presented by the Moore's Baptist Church Choir on Sunday December 21 at 2 30 p m in the church sanctuary with the public invited to attend in Edenton.
Batavia Ohio Clermont County Chamber of Commerce elected new officers and directors at its meeting. Thomas J Ruthemeyer is chairman, Al Rice president, Jeff Wyler first vice president, James C second vice president, Chuck Seely treasurer, Edward J Parish remains executive vice president. Edith Peters Jones resigns as president to take a one year sabbatical in England. Directors listed include J oe Houser Al E Rice Charles Sry Will Be Over Over George Rack and Dan Re.
The 1981 Clermont County Fair will begin July 27 and run to August 1, the earliest scheduling in years due to a clash with the Ohio State Fair. Fair Board officers were reelected including Alton Ison as Secretary Treasurer and Charles Deetzel as Vice-president. Wayne Township’s Dave Williams and Lee Quallen were sworn in as incumbents along with Charles Oetzel and Robert Yeager new to the board.
The Amelia United Methodist Church at 19 Main Street will host a live nativity scene in the back parking lot from 7 to 9 p.m. nightly December 20 through December 24. Groups wishing to sing are invited to participate. contact Don Weak at 7153-4893.
The Williamsburg Christmas program features a cantata directed by Brenda Worstell. On December 21 at 7:30 p.m. the Central B tst Church Choir will lead the performance at the churm Williamsburg Bantam Williamsburg. Nursery will be provided and all are welcome.
The Clermont County Board of Health revoked the license of The Red River Cattle Company and conditionally revoked others including Oak Tree Restaurant and Lounge Williamsville. It orders action on Golden Ray Lounge Bantam to stop raw sewage flow within 30 days or face closure. A corner lot at Bonita and SR 28 Milford area warned about junk around an abandoned building seen as a nuisance since 1969.

David F. Smith, Bethel village mayor, begins work in the Clermont County Treasurer’s office. A Democrat, Smith spent four years with the Clermont County Manpower Consortium and was influenced by party activities and seminars. His salary is stated as twelve thousand dollars.
Clermont's population is listed at 128,361 in the latest figures, with earlier counts showing 125,414 and 45,785 housing units. County records note revisions from initial counts, and Donald Buckley, director of the planning commission, explains that some housing units counted earlier were unoccupied.
