A live nativity scene is planned at Williamsburg United Methodist Church located at Third and Gay Streets Williamsburg on Sunday December 14 at 6 p m and 7 15 p m The Williamsburg High School choir will provide music for the event
Williamsburg High School music groups led by the concert band and chorus will perform a mix of contemporary and traditional Christmas pieces on Monday evening December 15 at 8 o clock in the high school auditorium. Seventh grade junior high students join the adults from local church choirs in performing Handel's Hallelujah chorus.
Congressman William H Harsha announced the office will close at noon December 15 under House rules. After that date inquiries should go to Congressman elect Robert D McEwen at the U S House in Washington 20515. Rules require vacating offices to prepare for new Members.
The Clermont Volunteer Coordinators Association holds its December 17 meeting at 5 p.m. in the Cincinnati Gas and Electric auditorium at 92 S 4th Street Batavia. Refreshments will be served and interested persons may contact Pat Hager or Lisa Parrett at 732 6001.
The Clermont County Association for Children and Young Adults with Learning Disabilities screens Everybody Has A Song at 7 p.m. in the West Clermont Board of Education Building Mt. Carmel. Henry Winkler, known as The Fonz, narrates the film. A follow up discussion with Craig Kigar, a learning disabled student, is announced.

Clermont County Auditor James says the three percent motel excise tax, effective Aug. 1, has yielded only about 3000 to 4000 dollars with no distribution yet. State examiners fault the Clermont county board for a high number of transfers in the December 4 agenda. Transfers ranged from 82,000 from a Cler eee Consortium fund to eras to 23.11 at a Dog & Kennel fund to another. Rymer said auditors will offer recommendations after the audit begins by January. He noted past two years reduced transfers but urged tighter planning and adherence to purchase orders. The budget commission of the charity auditor treasurer and prosecutor faces pressure as state officials push local control limits.
A 23 year old Milford man, Clermont Keith Karl Gerhardt of Gar field Trailer Park, was acquitted by a jury in the Common Pleas Court of Judge Louis J. Schwartz after a trial over charges of illegally receiving 1218 in Aid to Dependent Children and 1027 in food stamps for 1979. Prosecution witnesses testified about custody and the infant, while Gerhardt and his wife denied knowledge of the child’s birth date and frequency of custody. Defense testimony claimed the child received needs while with the three women and that the couple lived in a small camper trailer during most of the period.
Officials met after a nitrobenzine laden truck overturned near the Aber Road landfill on November 26. The driver lost control, the vehicle tipped, and cleanup began with authorities reporting no immediate danger to residents. A coordinated response strategy was urged to prevent future delays in notifying agencies.
