Bert Hodge aged about 20 and single, son of Ephriam Hodge, formerly of Batavia township now living with his father near Lerado, lost his left arm last week after his hand was caught in corn shredder rollers. Amputation followed to prevent blood poisoning after the injury while shredding a crop two weeks earlier. He is reported to be doing nicely.
