Schoenung Pleads Guilty to Second Liquor Offense
Karl Schoenung pleaded guilty before Probate Judge Young to selling liquor and was fined 1000 dollars and jailed until payment. The Loose Leaf Tobacco Warehouse opened on Tuesday with over 150000 pounds of tobacco on the floor for buyers. Big buyers expected to attend, promising strong competition and better prices. Road Opens From Batavia to Williamsburg After Delay
The Batavia to Williamsburg pike was opened for travel on Monday though some work remains to finish along the sides and ditching, to be completed in spring. Commissioners met Saturday to arrange the action, easing travel for riders and drivers. The 82 mile route from Cincinnati to Williamsburg will be faster but carries risks to lives.
