Red Cross volunteers showcase shelter operation in Cincinnati area
Charles L. Schneider and John P. Scottice joined volunteers at a Dec. 7 Red Cross shelter management workshop in Cincinnati. A full shelter was built in the Red Cross Memorial Building with first aid, canteen, sleeping areas and more as guidance errors were corrected by volunteers.

Man Jailed On Gas Theft Charge
Joe Wolfe a 20 year old resident of Batavia was jailed in Clermont County on a gasoline theft charge. He confessed to Sheriff Clyde Dericks that he drove Clifford Richards to Dayton Kentucky where Richards killed his wife Diana 15 her grandfather Charles Hammonds and himself.

National Choir To Give Christmas Concert

Information session set for first Air Force Reserve Flight
Colonel V A Evers of the Cincinnati Air Reserve Center announced an information session on December 19 at the Batavia Armory. The session aims to establish the first Air Force Reserve Flight outside Cincinnati and will detail benefits for former Air Force members including pay for meetings and retirement accrual. Residents of Amelia Batavia Bethel Goshen New Richmond Milford Pleasant Plain and Williamsburg are urged to attend. transfer criteria for other service branches will be discussed.
