Rites Tuesday For Batavia Man Responsible In Tragedy
Funeral services were held in Batavia for Clifford Richards 32 who killed his wife Diana Richards 15 and her grandfather Charles Hammonds 76 before killing himself in Dayton Kentucky. The weapon was stolen from Diana’s father Charles Spencer. Richards had separated from Diana in August and the case involved the Hammonds home and courtship history. Surviving family members include his mother and four brothers and four sisters.

Judge Charles G. White Dies at 70 Rites Thursday
Former Common Pleas Judge Charles G. White died at his Batavia home after a stroke. The 70 year old jurist served 21 years as judge, later partnered in Ely White and Davison law firm. He was Batavia Building and Loan president and Amelia Bank director, a former bank president and county prosecutor. Surviving: widow Fannye and two daughters Mrs. Thomas Murphy and Mrs. Frank Malloy.
