The Rev. William T Paterson pastor of First Presbyterian Batavia since May 1947 resigns after 44 years in ministry. His tenure saw Fellowship Hall pews and new font. He previously served in Saskatchewan Manitoba and Nova Scotia before long Batavia pastorate.

Holy Land Visitor To Show Slides

Covington physician Dr. D B Eastep will speak and show slides on the Holy Land at First Baptist Church New Richland on December 17 and 18. Services start 7 30 p m each evening. Yule Flower Show Presents Holiday Splendor

Realtor Escapes Injury In Mishap In Clough Heights

William L. Shrimpton a Beechmont Avenue realtor escaped injury after his car skidded on loose gravel and plunged over an embankment along Clough Pike near the Hamilton Clermont County line. The vehicle rested tilted against a fence with no major damage reported. He attributed the incident to moderate speed.

Time For Second Polio Shots At Newtown School

Newtown holds a second polio shot session on Thursday December 20 from 9 to 1 30 am at the school with registration on Friday December 14 from 9 to 1. The Division of Aid for the Aged, Department of Public Welfare, notes 621 residents in Clermont County received November aid totaling $46,034. The average payment was $56.07. Health care covered 14 aged individuals at $393.25.

Amelia Teacher Named Supervisor

L. G. Hause announces Wat Al Anderson who taught history at Amelia school will become Supervisor of pupil personnel for Clermont County. Anderson, Xavier University graduate, started at Amelia in 1951, served 1951 to 1953, holds bachelor and master degrees and is pursuing a doctorate at Colorado State College of Education. His dissertation centers on a complete guidance program for Clermont County schools. The appointment takes effect January 1 with duties to establish and run testing and guidance across county schools.
