James M. Patchell of Batavia received the football OAA and extra award at the annual appreciation dinner for the 1922 varsity and freshmen squads by the University and Columbus Chamber of Commerce. Patchell played center and is a senior in agriculture. The Ohio Rhodes scholarship committee also met in Cleveland selecting Francis H. Herrick and recommending Robert Jamieson for a Rhodes at-large.

Batavia high school teachers and pupils announce a Christmas Carnival on Wednesday December 20 at 7 pm in the Batavia Armory. Commissioners approve county bills in December session
