A head on crash occurred Saturday at 6 20 am in Hamlet. Fred Stapp and D Pemberton from near Bethel in a Buick Six collided with Mathews Day Co produce truck from Cincinnati. Pemberton suffered serious injuries. Stapp and others aided at the scene. speed and highway width cited as factors.

Death halts Milford court after man dies of heart trouble
Orion Clark aged 66 of the Pt Pleasant neighborhood collapsed while being escorted to Milford for trial after officers found six quarts of whisky in his yard. The death was attributed to heart trouble brought on by fright and the presence of officers. Arresting officials were Marshal Pierson and Kyle Moyer. The meeting adjourned to the first Friday in January.
