K of P Lodge Celebrates First Instituted in County
The K of P lodge of Felicity marked the home lodge founding on November 22 drawing a large county-wide crowd. It was the county's first institute 43 years ago with seven charter members still living. Geo A Keen of Batavia promoted the order and has remained a member. A fine banquet followed with orchestra music and speakers from visiting lodges. The lodge is thriving and a point of pride for members.

Mayor Ross's court heard the State of Ohio versus Frank Schissler Ed Richards Herbert Richards and W Seibert on an assault charge against Kenneth Rice. Accidental Shooting Involving Gregg Family Boys

Red Cross reports aid to ex servicemen in Cincinnati area
In Clermont County the Red Cross lists partnerships with the State Department of Charities and Rehabilitation, Rotary Club of Cincinnati, Probate Court, U S Veterans Bureau and local hospitals. About $10,000 in claims were awarded this past year. Production included 50 bath robes and 80 Christmas bags for soldiers in hospitals. Fire destroys three business houses in Mowrystown
A Wednesday morning fire in Mowrystown destroyed three business houses and damaged two others, with an estimated loss of about 20 000 dollars. Mrs. Charles Ludwick awoke to an explosion around 2 20 and alerted help as town fire equipment proved slow. The blaze began in Chris Snider's cellar and spread to Marconette and Roberts dry goods and the Berger restaurant, while Ed Fenwick's post office building and the Henry Bohl structure received minor damage.

Geo P Moore aged 73 a former Batavia citizen and brother of Mrs Chas Dudley of Afton and Mrs Elia Edwards of Baldwin Park Cal died at his Indianapolis home on November 24 his burial followed. Navy Deserter Sentenced to Industrial School
Edgar Popham a 16 year old long time Navy deserter from near Moscow formerly Kentucky appeared before Judge Young's juvenile court on a horse stealing charge and pleaded guilty he was sent to the Boys Industrial School at Lancaster until age 21 after earlier forgery charges and multiple state arrests. He enlisted at 14 in Cincinnati and has wandered the country stealing a saddle mare and selling it at Mt Washington while evading fares and court authorities. Sheriff John B. Rapp arrested him on both occasions and he spoke freely about his exploits.
