The high school band will perform traditional and contemporary pieces at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission proceeds help fund the band’s trip to the National Cherry Festival Parade in Washington, D.C.

Clermont County Firefighters Mutual Aid Association again backs the drive at Withamsville Fire Department 855 Ohio Pike on Tuesday December 29 from 3 pm to 9 pm. Batavia High School Drama Club will stage three one act plays titled Louder I Cant Hear You The Cop and the Ace and The Tale That Wagged the Dog on Saturday December 12 at 7 p.m. in Batavia Junior High School. Tickets cost 150 for adults and 1 for students. George Gyurina.
Troop 452 Boy Scouts sponsor a paper drive at St Thomas More Church parking lot 800 Ohio Pike Williamsville on Saturday and Sunday December 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Proceeds fund troop operations and summer camp. Amelia United Methodist Church hosts a Colonial Christmas Celebration starting Saturday January 2 1982 at 7 p.m. with an 18th century dinner concert and dessert. Lenore Davis is declared Wayne Township clerk after a November election win over Carl Ritter by 453 to 286. A recount was requested by Ritter. Ritter disputed the takeover date and sought legal guidance. Davis later sought the official election certificate.
Clermont County Commissioners gave formal approval for the 20.3 million O Bannon Creek Regional Sewer Project to bring sewers to Goshen Township. Jerry Carlier said the U S Environmental Protection Agency has verbally backed the plan with written backing en route from the Chicago office, pegging construction to begin within months.
Negotiations continue for a Clermont County Mental Health Center halfway house in Amelia. If approved the $200000 HUD loan would cover purchase renovation and furnishings. Zoning is approved and a contingency contract may be signed awaiting HUD approval timetable. Eight residents could be housed at Main Street site to aid readjustment outside institutions.
