Eastwood Dies by Own Action in Rural Ohio
Brown County Coroner George T. Tyler Jr. ruled Earl E. Eastwood of Bethel died from a self-administered poison. Eastwood, 60, a Clermont County insurance man and Republican, was found dead in the rear seat of his car on a deserted Brown County road Wednesday morning. No autopsy was performed. Motive cited as personal financial difficulties.

Explosion hits ambulance on way to hospital injuring worker
Hugh Stertel, 28, a press operator at Tri-State Fireworks, suffered 90 percent body burns after an explosion leveled a wooden building.
