Clermonters To Receive Income Tax Statements
Thomas A. Gallagher, Collector of Internal Revenue, announced tax bills have been sent covering the December 15 due on 1040 ES filed September 15. Farmers with at least 80 percent farming income for 1943 may file by December 15 with office assistance. Two other groups must file by December 15: those whose September 15 tax was underestimated by over 20 percent and those who did not file September 15 but now owe for 1943.

Auxiliary Unit Plans Christmas For Veterans
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit to Frank Weaver Post organized plans at its December meeting to bring Christmas cheer to men in their adopted ward at the Veterans Hospital in Dayton and to remember the World War nurse in Miller Cottage. Members responded to a call by Rehabilitation chairman Mrs. Ethel White with many playing cards, games, cigarettes, Christmas cards and stamps ready for sick and disabled World War I and II veterans in Ohio hospitals. A group of Junior members participated in a closing ceremony followed by a social hour and refreshments.
