Indicted Workman and Stamm plead guilty before judge

He spent eighteen months in the South Pacific including time on the Fiji Islands and has served alongside his Batavia friend Corporal Carl Richards who remains with MacArthur's forces.

Ralph Lewis and Jack Andres are among 26 members of the 147th Infantry Band of the Ohio National Guard. The unit trained at Camp Shelby Mississippi and Indiantown Gap Pennsylvania before moving to Panama Tonga Islands and Guadalcanal. They later served on the rest island in the South Pacific playing concerts and leading dances while some members acted as stretcher bearers during six months of combat duty. Frank Koch led the band, now succeeded by Massari, with Pete Wagner recuperating from malaria.
