A Clermont County rural leaders meeting on institute work held at the courthouse last Thursday drew strong interest. Mr Gatehouse of Columbus outlined financing options and program planning. Four state aid and four independent institutes are planned in the county with more planned at various locations.
A quiet wedding was held at the Gatch home in Milford on Thursday morning with Miss Ellen Gatch and Carl Z Garland, Clermont County prosecuting attorney, in attendance by immediate family. They plan a Chattanooga trip and will reside on Cleveland Avenue, Milford after their homecoming.
The Men’s Bible Class of U B church Batavia express thanks to students, local businessmen, and county papers for publicity support of their play The Womanless Wedding. Named organizers W J Bauer, Oliver Bauer, and others thanked.
Marie Brinker, 17, of Stonelick township near Zion school house, vanished after leaving home for Cincinnati on November 24 to visit her hospitalized brother. Sheriff and deputies search as Cincinnati officials assist. no reward yet. Neighbors report widespread concern and ongoing inquiry into her whereabouts.
Clermont county received a state voucher for the second gas tax distribution totaling 10,000 for the county and 841 for Batavia and 266 for Williamsburg. Workmen at Pt Pleasant on the river road for the General Grant memorial bridge faced a cavern after 35 feet of east side excavation. Adams was crushed and died after removal to Cincinnati hospital. another worker was rescued. Columbus company crews push on before freezing weather. The old bridge remains in use. John Bramel died Sunday night from injuries.
Mr and Mrs Warden Smysor were surprised on November 29 1925 by relatives and neighbors to celebrate their twenty fifth wedding anniversary. A noon feast and a collection of useful and beautiful presents accompanied the gathering.
Mrs Elizabeth Perkins returns home after visiting relatives in Kentucky and Silverton. Mrs Laura Rilea spent Friday in Bata via with friends. E F Nash and wife attended the funeral of Lafayette Nash at Elia. Fred Brazier and family visited his mother Sunday. H Cross and wife of the city visited their parents Sunday. The Mt Carmel Rebecca lodge entertained State President Anna V Cam etza ove Winrare of Walnut 8 and Mrs Morely and Ballback of Norwood Wednesday night.
M Deem of Batavia Lund with home folks attended calls at A Richart's Sunday. Charles Rape, wife and daughter of Norwood, ecil Grimes and Clyde Anstaett visited. Mrs Ed Ros attended the funeral of Wilbur Koltenbach of Felicity with Mr and Mrs Fred Creswell of Batavia Friday. Math SchiHer and family entertained company Sunday. Louise Meier hosted afternoon guests including Helen Curtis, Jean Meyer, Wilma Jewer of Batavia and Frances Deem.

Ladies Aid planned a bazaar for December 16. Community bands and youth activities noted with social events and church group meetings.
The Amelia I O F Lodge holds its annual Home Coming next Saturday night at the hall with members from Hamilton and Clermont counties expected. Families are to be entertained during the session by a moving picture show about Odd Fellowship in the town hall below. A special program and talks precede a banquet closing the event. The lodge reports a membership boom and notes five candidates were initiated last Saturday in a large gathering of brothers from nearby lodges.
A large gathering attended the public installation of R A M officers at the Batavia Masonic Temple on Tuesday evening. Officers installed included High Priest W O Robinson C Donald G Jamieson and several V Titled officers, followed by a banquet for all guests.
The Clermont Farm Bureau announces the Annual Live Stock and Farm meeting at Batavia town hall on Saturday December 12 starting at 10 o clock. E C Rector of Williamsport Ohio and P O Wilson of Cincinnati Producers will speak on Farm Bureau Work and Cooperative Marketing of Live Stock. Members and non members are invited to attend to learn about cooperative efforts. Ray Stoddard secretary reports county business since year start.
East Hill Farm Club gathered December 3 with six members present and two guests, Mrs Rush and Miss Ethel Davidson. The program included a club song, readings The Christ Child and It is Christmas where Love is, Christmas quotations, music, and a lunch prepared by hostess Mrs Barker. Next meeting set for January 7 with Mrs Defrates.
