Boy Scout Circus Set For Saturday
The Boy Scouts Cubs and Explorers of Clermont County stage a circus Saturday night December 10 at 9 p.m. in Bethel School gym. The Bethel band provides music and a short concert before the grand entry march. Adults pay admission while children under 12 enter free. More than 1000 boys participate in a yearly display of scouting skills and games. Brown and Clermont Counties previously combined for one big circus with Brown County presenting a week earlier.

New Department Buys Fire Truck For Union Township
Ray Riggs, chairman of the specifications committee, with E. Philhower, C. Kirk and G. Schaeffer, announced a purchase order for a 1956 fully equipped fire truck. Delivery expected about March 1, 1956 through Dick Campbell of American Fire Equipment Co. Public vote favored the new apparatus, with generous donations aiding the purchase. Williamsville Volunteer Fire Department will continue protection of Union Township until 1956.

Willard Davis led a grand jury that returned 35 indictments against 20 defendants. Sixteen cases were dismissed. Clermont County auditor Caile B. Kincaid announced a 1955 utility valuation rise of about 10,984,659 over 1954. One Dead Hurt In Auto Crashes
William H. Rudig, 35, of Bantam, died from a skull fracture after a crash on Dead Man's Curve on Route 125 east of Route 222. He was taken to Cincinnati hospital. Three others were injured in separate Route 28 crash near Goshen involving Clarence Mathews and Roy Gillis.
