Dwight Oberschlake of Hamersville was named to the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation board of trustees, representing District 20. He serves on Brown County Farm Bureau directors, is vice president of Clermont County Landmark Cooperative, and operates a 35 Jersey cow dairy on 180 acres. He holds leadership roles in Pure Milk Association and Brown County education groups.

Robbery at Milford Legion Hall Stolen Safe Funds

About $2700 was taken from a basement safe in Milford American Legion Post 450 on Race Street. Police investigate claims of a professional job as tools and a coin pouch were found along the Little Miami River and additional money pouches later discovered upriver. The theft impacts the Gift for the Yanks fund and welfare plans. this marks the hall's second burglary in two months.

New Building Permits Top $1 Million for November

Katavia Ohio clerks report November activity from Building Inspector Alfred Ginn shows 42 new construction permits totaling about 1.156 million dollars with 25 occupancy certificates issued and 948 dollars in permit fees. Remodeling included five permits and 11 698 dollars in estimated work. Dog Warden Fred Wile reports 222 dogs collected in November with 150 destroyed and 21 cats disposed of. licenses and fees brought in 62 and 73 dollars respectively. A traffic signal flasher on Old SR 74 at Summerside near North Union Township Fire Dept. building was authorized. In Owensville Northeastern Education will meet Tuesday December 12 at 7 30 p m, shifting from the usual second Wednesday schedule.

Justice Will Dedicate Clermont County Office Complex

Chief Justice Kingsley Taft of the Ohio Supreme Court will dedicate Clermont County facilities on Saturday December 16 with a dedicatory address. Judge Harold D. Nichols chairs the committee and ceremonies include color guard Mt. Carmel American Legion Post a welcome by Nichols and introductions by Judge M Dale Osborne. County Commissioners will receive enlarged photos of four former Clermont County Common Pleas Court judges for display in Annex No 1. The 2 p.m. program in the new court room will precede tours of Annex No 1 Annex No 2 The Kahle Building and the Clermont County Service Center.

Historical Marker to Honor Milford Church Past Sunday

A marker dedication in Milford honors the first Northwest Territory Methodist class organized in 1797 by Francis McCormick. Bishop Francis Ensley will deliver the sermon at 10 40 a m and dedicate the marker in the church yard after the service. A dinner follows celebrating 170 years of Methodism in Milford.

J R Cooke deputy director of Ohio Highways Division 8 spoke at the Clermont County Community Action Commission meeting at Stillmeadow Country Club. He projected nearly 49 million dollars in Clermont County highway investments over the next three years amid uncertain federal funds. Commissioners Approve Water System Improvement Plans

Clermont county commissioners authorized resolutions to fund a 1.78 million dollar package of upgrades across the MGS and PUB water systems. Cann Ford Inc Purchases Kahle Building on West Main

Cann Ford Inc of Batavia announced the purchase of the West Main Street building they occupy. The 1965 structure, built by Harry Kahle, becomes the company’s new home as Cann Ford plans a spring expansion with a new body shop. Robert Crow of Fred Tuke and Son Realtors handled the transfer.
