County Office Complex to Dedicate December Sixteen
County officials set December 16 for a dedication of the expanded county office complex. Chief Justice Taft will speak in the new Common Pleas Court Room with Gov. Rhodes and Francis Dale attending. Sgt. William E. Gaskins 21 son of Mr and Mrs Lee Kennedy Bethel is recovering after losing a leg and sustaining wounds in Vietnam He was treated at 85th Evacuation Hospital Vietnam and 249th General Hospital Japan He plans to return to the US and will not return to Vietnam Gaskins is a Bethel High School graduate who attended the University of Cincinnati and served with the Fourth Infantry in the Chu Lai and Dak To areas.

Three recounts in Clermont and Warren counties did not alter outcomes in a Goshen Board of Education race or the Monroe Township clerk contest. Incumbent Walter Fite narrowed the gap but John W. Cooper still won the board seat, while G. E. Hall lost votes and Bernice Burns will become clerk. Official tallies stood 446 to 434 and 334 to 327. An organizational meeting for Clermont County Agricultural Society is set for December 13 at Mulberry School cafeteria with dinner at 6:30 p.m.
