Stewart longtime Milford nurse is honored with the Stewart Wing at University Hospital Augusta Georgia in recognition of 22 years as Director of the School of Nursing and Superintendent of Nurses. Goshen Farmer Jacob W. Griffith Dies at 89
Jacob W. Griffith, 89, longtime Goshen resident and 59 year member of Goshen Lodge F and A M, died Thursday at his daughter's home near Goshen. Services were held Saturday at Monroe Funeral Home Milford with burial in Goshen Cemetery. Rev. A E Huntington presided. Griffith was Goshen's second oldest Mason and attended the Lodge centennial last spring as an honored guest. His wife Elizabeth Molitor Griffith died in 1931.

Dr. Jesse A. Weir, 80, known as The Colonel in Clermont County and Cincinnati, died December 2 after a WWI veterinary service overseas. Clermont County War Price and Rationing Board announces changes to non highway gasoline renewals for power equipment on farms. Renewals require 30 day notice, applications by mail or postcard, and complete horsepower details. First issuance will mail about 60 percent of the yearly ration. The Clermont County Prince of Peace Declamation Contest will be Sunday evening December 10 at the ie Methodist Church. The winner receives a silver medal from the Ohio Council of Churches and advances to the District Contest in January for a gold medal.
