Officials Deny Zoning Changes in Multiple Townships

Glen Este township officials denied three zone change requests while the zoning commission rejected another and approved one. Cases include a 26 acre Midwestern Community Builders plan near SR 125 outside Crest Crescent Drive for a mixed use development. Other denials include Calvin Aicholtz's 72 acre request near Summerside and several Meyer and Heckter tracts. An approved 0.314 acre lane business lot was forwarded to trustees. Houser Seeks Former Post on County Board

Houser, now an associate of Wilson Bros Realtors in Batavia, seeks a return to county board service. Former Moscow farmer and 23 year Washington Township trustee, he active in soil and water conservation and other organizations. Judge Schwartz seeks unexpired term in Clermont County

Louis J. Schwartz, judge of the Clermont County Common Pleas Court, announced his candidacy in the Republican primary for the unexpired term. Appointed February 1969 to fill a vacancy, he cites a record of 420 hearings and vows courteous, efficient service. He is a Kentucky native, UK and UC educated, veteran, and resident of Neville with wife Diana and five children.

BMA Seeks Citizen Of Year Nominees For Award

The BMA announces its Citizen Of The Year award with Howard Spaulding of Spaulding's Market chairing the committee. Nominee names must be submitted by Dec. 15. A Christmas party begins at 9 p.m. on Dec. 19 at the Ohio National Guard Armory, Second Street, Santa Claus will distribute treats, with turkeys and other prizes to be given.
