Local officials gain their first raise in four years as the Ohio Legislature backs Substitute House Bill 1122. The House approved the measure by 81 to 9, with supporters noting statewide raises average about 25 percent across offices.

A seven member Guild led by Charlotte Hornschemeier runs the hospital gift shop at Clermont Hospital, established 1973, selling spring fall and Christmas silk arrangements and other crafts. Proceeds fund hospital equipment purchases. Shop hours run Monday to Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 12 to 8 p.m. through Christmas. Gift Shop co-Chairmen are Betty Mullen and Clara Mullen.
