Clerk-Typist Training Applications Available

Lewis H. Evans announced that Ohio State Employment Service Batavia is accepting applications for clerk typist training at Amelia High School under the Manpower Development and Training Act. The 22 week program starts Dec 13 with six sections of twenty trainees, classes 3:00 to 9:30 pm Monday through Friday, offering 660 hours of instruction including English, typing, business math, filing and office procedure. Transportation and subsistence allowances apply per qualifications.

Aunt of slain girls dies after safety wound

Mrs. Janet Wolfe 35 who killed her two nieces with a 22 revolver on November 24 died Monday at Jewish Hospital from a personal safety related bullet wound to the head. Private graveside services will be held at Batavia Cemetery with Moore Funeral Home in charge. The tragedy unfolded after Mrs. Wolfe was found by her sister in the girls' Batavia home.

Clermont County reports October savings bond sales of 52301 and 85.5 percent of its annual goal with E and H purchases totaling 424387.
