Farmer Dies While Aiding Neighbor With Work

George Hendershot, 49, collapsed and died Thursday afternoon near Wiggonsville while helping neighbor William Spiller shred corn at the W. T. Milner farm. Johnny Spiller found the body. Services were held Saturday in Bethel with burial at Pleasant Hills, W. Va. He left a widow and three sons.

4-H Girls To Serve Dinner For Camp Fund

4 H girls will host a turkey and ham dinner at the Pierce Township Locust Corner school on Saturday evening December 4 starting at 5 30 with music by Ralph Lemon to raise funds for sending girls to 4 H Camp.

Notable 1921 Wilson auditorium performances described

Frank Leyendecker attended the final show and spent the evening at the Smith residence in Amelia before returning to New York. John met him while studying in New York and he has studied in Paris and Cincinnati. He now appears on radio programs on WSAI and WLW and also in a television show.

Grand Jury In Session With Record Witnesses

Clermont County grand jury sits in session with about 138 witnesses across more than 40 cases. Two women face charges including Ethel Stone for shooting her husband and Lucille Gagnon for fatally shooting her brother. Many minor cases expected to be ignored.

New Richmond Police Chief Faces Trial Over Ball Game Ejection

Police Chief Russell Flynn stands trial on neglect of duty charges for not ejecting William Mitchell at a New Richmond ball game on October 11. Witnesses testified Flynn and Mitchell disputed the need for removal. Mitchell had already been ejected by Deputy Chief Fred Hoh.

Milford businessman Tom Jones dies after long illness

Milford community mourns 50 year old Tom Jones owner of the Horse shoe Cafe died at Good Samaritan Hospital after six weeks as a patient. He had operated grocer and confectionery before the cafe and once ran cafes in Lebanon and New Richmond. He served in World War I and leaves a widow two sons and other relatives. Funeral services were held at Craver Funeral Home and burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Christmas at Home county meeting in Clermont County

The Home Demonstration Council of Clermont County sponsors a county wide event titled Christmas at Home. It will be Tuesday December 7 at Evangelical United Brethren Church Bata from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A covered dish dinner and exhibits of inexpensive home made decorations will be offered.
