Donations rise to 170 dollars toward a 600 dollar projector fund. Local groups perform for residents including W O T A Bethel, Modest Church of Christ, Milford Church of God, Marionette show, Lindale choir, Here Am I Girls, and New Richmond Garden Club. Batavia High School students collect and repair toys December 15 deadline.

Milford Made Toys Delighting Youngsters Across U S

Milford based Tech-Art produces the Sturdy Bird clamshell steam shovel toy sold nationwide. The firm plans a residential assembly truck toy and an electro magnetic hoist. Toys may become a sideline as other products like marking tickets and rust preventing gadgets are manufactured. The plant moved to a larger Route 28 facility in Milford. Upper Clough Club Plans Regular Meetings in Withamsville

The Upper Clough Civic Club will meet at the Withamsville Fire Department building for several weeks funded by the South Union Township Civic Association. Amelia Quintet Takes Two In Weekend Wins

The Amelia High School Reserves and Varsity both won two games last week. Reserves beat Augusta Kentucky 33 to 20, Varsity overcame a deficit to win 44 to 37. Saturday at Amelia Gym the Reserves won 23 to 16 and Varsity 61 to 23 over Williamsburg. Braam led with 16 points, Gas skins and White close behind. Barons remain undefeated in six games and face Bethel and Felicity this week. Band directed by Bert Blair provided home-game music.

County health officials warn of a fundraiser near New Richmond for a wheelchair for a polio victim. W H Gaskins says Clermont and Brown counties have no recorded polio victim in need and March of Dimes funds are available. He urges avoiding contributions to the solicitations.

Mt. Carmel Grange No. 975 elected officers for the coming year led by Master Lafe Culbertson Overseer Roger Young and Lecturer Walter Shepard. Tobacco yields good profit from Ky 16 crop

J Nobis of Locust Corner reports 4666 pounds of Ky 16 tobacco from 1.9 acres sold at 52.8 cents per pound for about $2500. He used five tons per acre barnyard manure, 100 pounds of 20 percent phosphate per load, and 1000 pounds of 4-12-8 fertilizer. County Agent W W Hamilton notes this shows fertilizer and manure boost yields.

Alva Rybolt Former Milford Resident Dies at 61

Former Milford resident Alva Rybolt died last Wednesday in Middletown Hospital after a weeklong illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at McCoy Leffler Funeral Home Middletown with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery Milford. He was 61, born in Milford, a carpenter, and lived in Middletown 35 years. Surviving are two sons Charles H. Rybolt of Buffalo New York and Richard E. Rybolt of Middletown and three granddaughters. His wife Elizabeth Green Rybolt died last April.

Services Held for Miss Hariet E Hewes at Craver Funeral Home

Local Catholic Aide Dies in Milford

Miss Margaret Welsh longtime housekeeper for Rev. Edward J. Creager died at Good Samaritan Hospital last Tuesday. A solemn requiem high mass was sung at St. Patrick Church on Saturday and burial followed in Springfield, Ohio.

Lucile Gagnon Cleared and Ethel Stone Indicted

County grand jury indicted Ethel D. Stone for shooting her husband and returned a second degree murder charge against Lucile Gagnon, who said she acted to ward off assault. Many cases on the docket were ignored at arraignment, with numerous minor offenders bound over for future conference.
