Felicity Woman Killed In Auto Crash On Route 52
Mrs Gladys Penrose Barber wife of Dr C F Barber of Felicity was killed when the Barber car crashed into the rear of a large truck on Route 52 near the Grant Memorial Bridge. Six others were injured and taken to Meade Memorial Hospital and later Bethesda Hospital. The crash was attributed to Dr Barber misjudging distance while attempting to pass the truck.

Rural electrification plan discussed at Batavia meeting
About one hundred farmers and residents attended a Clermont County Farm Bureau meeting in Batavia to hear C C Blair outline a county wide cooperative electric plan. The proposal uses federal rural electrification funds to borrow for lines or even build a plant if wholesale rates cannot be agreed on. Township chairmen were appointed to survey interest and organize the cooperative.

Libel suit filed against New Richmond Press editor
Frank J. Thiel of New Richmond sues John Owens editor of the New Richmond Press for $1000 in common pleas court claiming an Aug. 15 article falsely stated Thiel had been arrested. Attorney Sterling L. Brown represents Thiel. The petition says Thiel was never arrested nor jailed.

Milford Man Killed by 4000 Volt Wire Contact
Lloyd Riley, 81, an ig Union Gas and Electric Co. lineman from Cincinnati, died after touching a 4000 volt line in North Bend. He fell from a pole, was rushed to Good Samaritan hospital, but could not be revived. Death blamed on shock with fourth-degree burns. He leaves a widow and two young children and was the son-in-law of Milford village clerk H. L. Schroeder.
