Judge John H. Houston dismissed Archbishop Alter's petition to modify the July 1 1965 injunction stopping Elizabeth Seton school's sewage discharge. The court found no material change in conditions and allowed the plant to remain inactive while spring water flows into a treatment chamber. Fresh water will be released to the Early farm hold watercourse and sewage hauled to another system for treatment.

Bethel Journal Publisher Dies at 84
Bethel Christian P. Althaus, 84, owner and publisher of The Bethel Journal, died August 19 at Brown County Hospital. A Bethel resident for 37 years, he and his wife were former missionary teachers in China. Funeral services were held Monday with burial at Bethel Tate Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Laura, son Russell P. of Bethel, daughters Grace Snider of Galloway, C., and Alice Edwards of San Jose, six grandchildren, and brother Pete of Cleveland.

Milford Man Dies From Personal Safety Related Wound
Harvey E. Hill age 82 of 28 Wooster Pike died from a .22 rifle wound to the heart as police investigate. His body was found on the back porch Friday at 1 15 p m by neighbor George Diekmann after he spoke with Hill at 9 a m. Services were held Monday at Stonelick Church of the Brethren with burial at Plainview Cemetery Newtonsville. Craver Funeral Homer Milford handled arrangements.

Clermont County Common Pleas Judge Harold Nichols ordered the Ohio Bureau of Unemployment Compensation to pay benefits to James A. Carlton of Batavia who retired after 12 years with General Electric and earned a $50.22 monthly pension. The BUC and Board of Review argued Carlton knew retirement at 65 was required, but no proof he quit voluntarily. The judge rejected the claim that waivers or assignments by workers could invalidate benefits.

July sales of Series E and H Savings Bonds in Ohio reached 24.2 million. Through July 1965, Ohio total savings bonds sales stood at 179.3 million, achieving 57.9 percent of the annual goal. Series E sales for seven months were 167.8 million, up 1 million from last year. Clermont County reported 36,365 in July E and H Bond sales, 47.3 percent of its yearly quota with 234,707 in payroll savings bonds. Over 47,000 Ohioans joined the Payroll Savings Plan in the first seven months.

Testing runs Wednesday through Friday for gas units and September 2 3 and September 7 10 for track scales. They warn that faulty housetown scales violate rules and may be confiscated.
