The Clermont County Board of Elections ruled four candidates off the November ballot for insufficient petition penalties and signature issues. Washington Ruggles for mayor of New Richmond, Raymond G. Little for Clermont County Board of Education, and a West Clermont candidate for Village of Chile council were rejected due to filing defects. Child Injured In Mower Accident Near Owensville

Goshen Sets Special Election on $655000 Bond Issue
Goshen School District will hold a special election on September 21 to decide a $655,000 bond issue for an intermediate elementary building and a high school addition. The Board accepted a $315,000 state building aid with a 3.5 mill maximum. a six year extension of the current half mill levy will be required. Land Bank Meet Set At Louisville In 1965 Conference
Five officers and directors from the Federal Land Bank Association of Lebanon will attend a four state conference in Louisville led by Ellis Sturm. Omer Lippert Lawrence Marr Earl Barnthouse and Clarence Jordan will represent the association with more than 500 farm loan leaders from Ohio Indiana Kentucky and Tennessee. E V Landers of Louisville will report farmers in four states borrowed 95 million dollars in the first seven months of 1965, surpassing any full year before 1964. The Lebanon association and 77 others own the bank’s capital stock for 39 000 farmer members.

Clermont County Wins Ten Year Lease On Lock and Dam 34 Park
Clermont County signed a ten year lease Friday for 14 acres at Lock and Dam 34 three miles down the Ohio River, replacing the Capt Anthony Meldaht facility. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources granted the lease with little payment from the U S Army Corps of Engineers. It will become the county first park and recreation area as six frame houses are removed and two brick houses remain. The commission will seek funds to develop the area and may hire a caretaker and build a fence. County groups and local businesses may donate benches and picnic tables with names along the equipment for promotion. The park will welcome residents and nonresidents. the lease can be renewed.
