Harding Named by Batavia Republicans for Second Fourth Senate
The Republican convention at Batavia on August 25 1903 nominated John E Harding of Butler for the Second Fourth Senatorial district. Delegates from Brown Butler Clermont and Warren counties approved his nomination after endorsements by Seth W Brown and others. The body adopted resolutions pledging support for the Republican ticket and adjourned with cheers for Harding.

Deaths of Father and Son in Indiana St. John House
A Mr St John of Indiana visited relatives in Morrow and died of apoplexy. His son, staying in the same house during Warren county centennial events, also died of apoplexy at the foot of the same stairs. Samuel Walker of Wilmington died leaving a $75,000 estate to benefices and a free public library, with final funds directed to build the library.
