The old high school site now hosts Amelia Elementary parking, with a brick pillar from the first high school memorialized. The elementary building served as the high school 1931 to 1961, and the first senior class in 1892 included Lida Moore, Henrietta Lean, Verne Coombs, Irwin Nash and Roy House.
