Clermont County Radiological Plan Aims for FEMA Review

The second revised draft of Clermont County Emergency Radiological Response Plan will be delivered to FEMA by Aug. 25 for informal review. Disaster services director Kenneth Conover says the plan addresses Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines, incorporates feedback from Zimmer Area Citizens, and includes detailed procedures, training, and interagency coordination. Area family hosts Japanese student for three week stay

A Clermont County family hosted 12 year old Kengo Osaka from Gamagori Japan for three weeks sponsored by 4 H and LABO exchange programs. Kengo attended school with a long day, walked to classes and joined volleyball practice after. He toured Mammoth Cave Clermont County Fair and the state fair before returning to Japan.
