Tommie Jones of Williamsburg won Clermont’s Cutest Kiddie title at the Clermont County Fair. More than fifty children received votes. prize money totaling 54 dollars was distributed. Second through fifth places and a list of subsequent winners are identified with parentage and hometowns.

California concerns over Arizona irrigation project fuel federal cost worries

The Santa Monica Evening Outlook reports Californians fear a federal irrigation plan in Arizona costing about 1 838 per acre and over two billion dollars total while subsidies keep land already productive at risk. Courier contest draws interest with grand Washington trip prize

The Courier's subscription contest for correspondents has attracted attention in the county. Goshen Boosters 4-H Club members sweep three showmanship firsts at the Clermont County Fair in Owensville. Leroy Keiser wins swine, Robert Keiser earns beef, and Paul Moore takes dairy showmanship with Kroger cups awarded to dairy and beef winners. Second and third go to James Day and Glen Carrill of the Progressive Producers 4-H Club.
