Amelia Twins Win Clermont County Knothole Titles
WITHAMSVILLE The Amelia Redlegs Class A and the Amelia Pinsons Class B won the Clermont County Knothole Championship last night. Both teams remained undefeated. the Redlegs edged Mt. Carmel 4 to 3 after a three-run rally in the sixth. Pinsons beat two Williamsville hurlers to finish 11 to 5. Mt. Carmel clinched Class C by beating Goshen 6 to 5. The three champions advance to the National Knothole Tourney in Cincinnati this weekend.

Milford Library Plans Adult Section Expansion
Milford library moves to add an adult department on the first floor, with bids to be opened for furnishings. Builder Gene Smith expects completion around October, shelving and furniture delivery may take up to 60 days after bid award, and moving time follows. The space will also free upstairs room for high school research while the children's area remains upstairs. Mrs. Leonard Harding says room for 20 shelving sections along one wall and 20 to 30 more units elsewhere will be provided.

Small Boat Class To Be Conducted
Free instruction in the handling and operation of small boats will be offered again this fall by the Cincinnati unit of United States Power Squadrons. Registration will be held Tuesday, September 10, at 8 00 p m in the Medical College Auditorium. The thirteen week course covers safety afloat rules of the seamanship equipment required by law the compass and chartwork. Classes are open to men and women regardless of boat ownership. Instructors are trained squadron members.

Mobile X Ray Unit Set For Area Stops
A Clermont County health group schedules a State Mobile X ray unit visit from Oct 15 to Nov 15 with stops at Day Heights Gulf Station Mt Repose Texaco Station Milford Shopping Center and other sites. The aim is to screen at least 10 000 adults 18 and over and uncover tuberculosis cases via school heat testing and the mobile unit. The project may not return to the area next year.
