Mrs. Appolonia Hugo, born August 2 1857 in Bavaria, Germany, died August 17 1906 after forty three years of marriage to Joseph Hugo. Survived by eight children and her husband, she lived in Cincinnati and later near Williamsport, Ohio, and was a devout member of Saint Louis church in Owenaville. Funeral and interment followed at the Owenaville church.
A Hamilton resident, Maggie Reiff, reports kidney pain and backache eased after using Doan's Kidney Pills. She notes lasting relief over five years and endorses the remedy with purchaser's price of 50 cents. Foster Milburn Co of Buffalo is listed as U S sale agent. Deacon Jones offers roadsters for sale.
Chase W. Vanosdol longtime Williamsburg resident prominent in politics and once post master died last Friday in Williamsburg aged 48. Funeral services were held from his home last Sunday with many friends attending. He leaves a widow and two children. A Bethel ball season closing day is set for Saturday August 25 featuring Bethels vs church team and various athletic events including racing and distance throwing.
Lorain Behymer and wife from Wilmington visited the Herron sisters. Local residents hosted guests including Bart on Kearns and his son Charles, and many relatives and friends attended a weekend gathering for Masters Warren and Wesley Listen at John Flora’s home with a large guest list and a luncheon to end the event.
