Auto strikes horse near Batavia causes fatal injury
An eight year old horse was fatally injured when a speeding automobile driven by a Ft. Thomas man struck it on State Route 74 east of Batavia near Joe Leberman’s residence. Leberman was leading the horse across the road toward a pasture at the time of the collision.

Bethel Woman Struck By A Slow Moving Farm Machine
Mrs Charles Crawford 65 of Concord was struck by a machine in Bethel Saturday night near the Grant Memorial Building. Pete Layman 22 stopped the machine within ten feet after applying brakes. She suffered a badly fractured shoulder and facial injuries and was taken to Bethesda Hospital after First Aid. Mrs Crawford absolved Layman of blame saying she failed to look before crossing.

Drowned 14 year old on raft in Stonelick Creek
