Milford Council reaffirms Oakwood decision
Milford Village Council, in a Friday special session, reaffirmed the December 20 1977 action with a 5 to 2 vote to require annexation of the Oakwood Apartment property on Brooklyn Avenue before sewer tap-in will be granted. The meeting drew loud applause from 115 attendees as Mayor Yvonne Haight and Vice Mayor Fred Gatch backed tap-in per Ebcon Inc. and a Justice Department letter. The council warned of potential legal costs and delays if litigation ensues, and approved a second unanimous resolution authorizing continued legal representation to enforce the annexation condition for sewer access.
