Tate Monroe Township Water Association acts August 6 to authorize the engineer to proceed with main transmission plans and to take bids for test wells. The hydrology study is finished and the site for the well field should be known within days.

N. C. Ward becomes Batavia police chief after a month as assistant chief. Council approves buying a Breathalyzer for 750 dollars with half funded by federal aid. Patrolman David Darbro trained to operate it. Batavia plans fee-based testing for other units.
