45th Celebration Of Sunday Schools At Preston's Grove

The Batavia bridge on Route 74, postponed from Aug 4, will be dedicated August 18 at 2 p.m. Events include a parade, ribbon cutting by Bobby Davidson, remarks by State Highway Director O W Merrill, a baseball game, tennis finals, children’s contests, supper, and fireworks. Clermont County Band will provide music. Construction details list 3200 bbls cement, 120 I beams, 70 tons reinforcing steel, 1700 cubic yards concrete, three spans totaling 256 ft and 170 ft, 30 ft roadway, 5 ft sidewalks, and 4 pylons with aluminum lanterns.
