Commissioner Robert Croswell said on Friday that the compressor had been repaired and temperatures at the courthouse had begun to cool down. All except one, that is, who like all dedicated coffee drinkers, still preferred coffee despite the warm atmosphere.
Four teams were chosen to represent Clermont County at the 1983 area competition. Senior Nutrition Bowl team includes Captain Carole Mager Julie Sanger Angela Hodge and Michele Wilson of the Big Green Machine coached by Nitamarie Suttman and Eda Mager. Junior Nutrition Bowl team lists Captain Jennifer Deimling Connie Burch Lisa Deimling Laurie Brusport and Mary Giver with one advisor of the Green and White Slicks as coach. In the 4 H Shopping Bag Contest top three scorers form the team with the fourth as alternate. Civil Air Patrol cadet Jennifer Zang of Cincinnati CAP Squad 104 assisted at a mock disaster at the Clermont County airport with three other women.
Exercises conducted at 11 Ohio bases included a CAP drill not in routine summer tests. Last weekend served as a rehearsal before September’s full evaluation by the U.S. Air Force. Clermont County Salvation Army supplied lunch for CAP members.
