CAP conducts search and rescue drills in Clermont CAP exercise
Thunderstorms and floods shaped last weekend's Clermont CAP exercise. Thirty five members from CAP 107 used Clermont County airport as command post to deliver medical and blood supplies after a mock dam break on Grant Lake. They patrolled a simulated Ohio River flood, aided Highland County after a mock tornado, rescued passengers from a hypothetical overdue plane, and conducted traffic surveys after a chemical incident on I-275. The drill was run with Clermont County Disaster Services, with cadets from Lunken Airport and several ground crews.
